This series has far surpassed my expectations and I am in love with the whole Metcalfe family!

Range Metcalfe set out on his own after a fight with his brother over a girl and hasn’t been back in over 10 years. He’s spent his time and energy tacking down bad guys and now he has his eyes set on taking down Kasra Jazani, the Madam of Kandahar, a human trafficker. As Range and his team capture Kasra Jazani, he quickly learns that not everything is as it seems. It has been ten years since Kasra was abducted and after years of abuse, she worked her way up to overseeing the compound and using her position to help others. When Range and his team take her captive, they quickly become the hunted and dark secrets come to light along with danger to them and everyone around them.

I didn’t think it was possible for Ronie Kendig to make me like a book in this series more than I did Willow, but she just might have done it with Range. These stories are tough, gritty, and sometimes hard to read with the storyline but so well written they are also hard to put down. I picked this one up when I was in a slump of not wanting to read and having a hard time enjoying something I love. This story was so well crafted that it pulled me right out of that slump and had me turning the pages well into the night. This is the kind of book that if enough time allowed, could be finished in a single sitting. There is so much tension that the story flies by making it easy to get lost in the wonderful world of fiction. This series is very different from the others I have read by Ronie Kendig and I have loved seeing this different side of her writing. Fans of Romantic Suspense will love this new edition to the series.

I received a complimentary copy of this title from the publisher.  The views and opinions expressed within are my own.
